Thermal bath in Sikonda

The indoor spa features a 32°C / 90°F thermal pool, a 35°C / 95°F hot tub and a 29°C / 84°F children's pool.

On the outdoor site there is an adventure pool and an open 33 × 20 m / 108 x 65 ft sports pool.

You will find the bath 100 m / 110 yards from the campsite entrance.

The indoor bath with an adventure and a thermal pool on a total area of 3 hectares / 7.5 acres welcomes its visitors all year round while the shady, lovely outdoor pool area with its medicinal garden is open seasonally.

Aquapark in Orfű

In the Aquapark in Orfű, visitors can enjoy seven water slides, a sports pool, an adventure pool with an area of 1400 m² / 1675 square yards, a whirlpool of 43 m² / 51 square yards, a children’s pool, water games and a paddling pool for babies.

Mánfa

One of the jewels of the Mecsek Mountains tourist region is the church in Mánfa dating back to the times of the kings of the Árpád dynasty (10^th–13^th century) which is not only popular for its summer concerts but also for weddings and christenings.

The church is located 4 km / 2.5 mi from our campsite and is easily accessible on touristic hiking trails.

Melegmányi Valley

This is the most beautiful canyon in the Middle Mecsek. Here you will find old oak trees, beech trees and rare, cherished plants. Gorgeous mist waterfalls flow over the calcareous tuft stairs in the Melegmányi stream.

Recreational Park in Sikonda - Mecsekjánosi

A short walk past Sikonda‘s fishing pond will take you to the recreational park with different sports fields and an educational nature trail that is situated in the North part of the valley. From there it takes only a couple of minutes to walk to the ancient village of Mecsekjánosi which is part of Komló.

Mecsextrém Park on the Árpádtető

The Mecsextrém Park is the most diversified and biggest adventure park in Hungary. The vast grounds offer countless games and recreational activities. This is where extreme sports and family fun come together.

Renaissance Theme Park in Bikal

In the Bikal Theme Park, the culture and arts from the Renaissance era come to live. Historical events, folk crafts like pottery, basket-weaving and blacksmithing – all this is presented in authentic contemporary costumes. Visit the petting zoo, a village csárda and see what country living was like in those days.

Limestone Cave in Abaliget

The dripstone cave that has formed in the limestone is a veritable miracle of nature which has evolved through the power of erosion from the stream flowing through.

Next to the cave, the bat museum presents the little-known and mysterious world of the bats.

Mill Museum and Country House in Orfű

The water mill in Orfű is not only a museum but also the only stream-powered mill still operated in the country. You will also find a huge conventional mill on the exhibition grounds.

The Orfű Country House is a real curiosity: An old farmhouse with a surrounding patio is attached in one line to a church. Inside you can visit a folkloristic exhibition.

The Castle in Siklós

Siklós is the southernmost city in Hungary and exhibits one of the best-conserved medieval castles. The Renaissance buildings were restored in 2011.

Fascinating exhibits in the halls of the castle present medieval weapons and military history, the life in the Renaissance era as well as the castle prison and the torture chamber of those times.

Pilgrame Church in Máriagyűd

Máriagyűd is part of Siklós and one of the most famous places of pilgrimage in Southern Transdanubia. The statue of the Virgin Mary dates back to 1712. The reliefs of the Stations of the Cross on the Calvary Hill were made at the Zsolnay Porcelain Manufacture in Pécs.

In 2008, Pope Benedict XVI bestowed the title „Basilica minor” upon the grace church.

Abbey in Pécsvárad

The castle that was built on the Benedictine monastery founded by King St. Stephen I is one of our most important medieval heritages. Today, the buildings are used as a museum and a hotel.

Here, you can visit the Romanesque chapel consecrated in 1015 and the Gothic buildings of the bailey. The founder of the monastery was abbot Asztrik who brought the crown from Rome to the first Hungarian king.

Zengővárkony

Folk customs are kept alive in this settlement to this day. The collection of decorative Easter eggs as well as the exhibition of straw objects are well worth seeing.

Also, the region is famous for its sweet chestnuts as a greatly valued natural produce.

Wine from Villány

The Cathedral

The basilica is one of the most important historical monuments of the Cathedral Square and of the whole city. It was built during the 11th–12th century, supposedly by using an older church dating from the 4^th–6^th century. It received its present-day Neo-Romanesque form at the end of the 19^th century.

Early Christian Catacombs - Visitor Centre Cella Septichora

An early Christian necropolis from the 4^th–6^th century can be found beneath the St. Stephen Square. The monument is listed as UNESCO World Heritage. The most famous of the burial chambers that can be visited here is the Peter and Paul Burial Chamber depicting biblical scenes, the apostles Peter and Paul as well as animal and plant motives.

Zsolnay Quarter - Gyugyi Collection

The Zsolnay Collection with its roughly 600 ceramic objects is of incomparable value. The items on display from the Porcelain Manufacture all date back to a period of 40 years (1870–1910) and can be assigned to three epochs: Historism, Millennium (celebration of 1000 years of Hungarian settlement in 1896) and Art Nouveau.
